We must learn to think and to speak in the mode of a new medium in order to remember our dreams and beyond.
Spoken and written narratives are based on a 1-dimensional conception of time and are read/interpreted as such. Dreams occur in a time field which is any where from 2, 3, 4 to a potentially unlimited number of orthogonal dimensions. Thus, attempting to record the memories of a dream using spoken/written narratives restricts the fidelity of the record to a flattened version of the memories.
Furthermore, reviewing a memory internally is so subject to this habit of constructing a narrative or story about the experience that the memory takes on a quality of 1-dimensional time, losing the meaning which is present in the direct encounter with the dreamed event(s) as they occur within their complete time-dimensionality.
A new and different medium from the traditional narrative/orative mode is necessary to the authentic remembering and recording of dreams.
